Robben Ford is one of the guitar greats and with a new instrumental album out called Pure, he's at the peak of his considerable powers. This far-reaching conversation covers Pure, and his thoughts on working with greats such as Miles Davis, and George Harrison. We also discuss a little known aspect of Robben's career: working on an album with actor Bruce Willis.

Jeff Walker (Carcass)

The legendary Carcass releases their first new album in 8 years, Torn Arteries on 17th September 2021 via Nuclear Blast. Jeff is certainly a character with a laconic approach to these media events but, it was great to chat with him all the same!

Andrew Hudson (Harlott/ Desecrator)

Andrew is the guitarist in Desecrator and the guitarist and vocalist in Harlott. It's not bragging to say that both bands are amongst the most important heavy metal bands in Australia today. Both groups command international attention and Harlott are signed to Metal Blade. The catalyst for the chat is the launch of Summoning, the new album for 2021 from Desecrator. Scott Lewis (Carnifex)

Carnifex will release their new album Graveside Confessions on September 3, 2021, which meant it was a great time to catch up with frontman Scott Lewis. In this frank appraisal of the impact of the pandemic lockdowns on the group's finances, you'll hear that a deathcore band is like any other business, and Carnifex is suffering. Let's hope, for the group's sake touring can resume and Scott and the band can get back to eviscerating stages again.

Hookers & Blow have just launched a collection of covers under the banner of a self-titled album. The group features Guns'n'Roses keyboard player Dizzy Reed. Alex has played in a bunch of great outfits so we cover his experience recording with many well-known groups such as Public Enemy as well!
