Matthew Fackrell and Toby Peterson-Stewart (The Omnific)

Matt and Toby are the extraordinary bassists in Melbourne based The Omnific. Beating the lockdown blues by releasing a killer debut album is one way to get through living in the most locked-down city in the world, although Matt and Toby have done more than that; they've reimagined their bass-prog extravaganzas for a listening experience unlike almost any other. The lads discuss the recording, bass philosophy and much more!

Josh Kelly & Ian McAllister (Kimura)

Josh (vocals) and Ian (guitar) are in Western Australia based extreme metal outfit Kimura. They have a killer new album out on October 21, 2021, called Circle The Prey. We battle internet connectivity issues to talk about the album, what's been happening in the band, and many other worthy topics!

Sam Dillon & Alasdair Belling (Nesher)

Sam and Alasdair are two-thirds of Nesher, a killer Australian metal 'supergroup'. Their debut single is called "Preservation of Privilege", and it's out now. Throughout this chat, they cover the reasons behind the band's formation, why they enjoy performing brutal metal and as you have (hopefully) come to expect from the show, a dive into topics relating to social issues.

Dennis Mikula (Ghost Bath)

Black metallers Ghost Bath are proving the doubters wrong with their stunning new album, Self Loather which will be released on 19th November via Nuclear Blast. Frontman Dennis Mikula was available to share his thoughts in the album, Ghost Bath's comparisons to Deafheaven, and the time he trolled a Vice/ Noisey contributor who assumed the group were from Chongqing, China!

Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, The Abyss, Pain, ex-Bloodbath, ex- Lindemann)

The legendary Swedish death metallers Hypocrisy release their new album Worship (their first in 8 years) on 26th November 2021 via Nuclear Blast. A chat with main man Peter Tägtgren about the album isn't complete unless we cover his extensive production credits, so we talk about his work with Celtic Frost, Immortal, and many more!

Dave Coutts (ex- Talk Show)

Dave is back with a new single called "Teargas in August" and promises to be the first of many cuts he plans on releasing. We chat about the song, his reasons for performing and recording again and yes, we cover his days in Talk Show, a band that featured Stone Temple Pilots members Robert and Dean DeLeo and Eric Kretz.

Jekyll Jones (Gangs of Old Ladies/ Vegas Rhythm Kings)

The catalyst for this chat is the new single from Gangs of Old Ladies called "Raped by Ghosts". We talk about musical pursuits, although this chat is notable for the number of other topics we cover, you will gain a deep insight into Jekyll's thoughts on a range of subjects, so enjoy!

Vanilla Fudge has released their latest single, a 'fudged up' version of The Supremes classic 'Stop In The Name Of Love', and a tribute to their late bandmate Tim Bogart. The release was also an opportunity to chat with Carmine about his stellar career as one of rock and soul's most significant percussionists.

Bill Steer (Carcass/ ex-Napalm Death)

The legendary Carcass releases their first new album in 8 years, 'Torn Arteries', on 17th September via Nuclear Blast. The release presented an opportunity to chat with Bill about the album and dive into subjects relating to his superb career as one of the most influential guitarists in extreme metal. I chatted with bassist/ vocalist Jeff Walker before Bill and asked if he thought carcass had been a key inspiration for the 'Gothenburg' sound. You'll hear Bill's take on the subject and much, much more.

Jack Frost (Brothers In Arms/ Seven Witches/ ex- Savatage)

Brothers In Arms is the brainchild of guitarist/composer Jack Frost, who it must be said is one of the most underrated guitarists in rock and metal. Brothers In Arms debut is called 'Sunset and Clark' and the band features Jack along with vocalist Andrew Freeman (Last In Line, Lynch Mob, Hurricane), drummer Karl Wilcox (Diamond Head), bassist Alex Jansen (Hardline) and keyboardist Charlie Calv (Angel) plus many more contributors.
This long-awaited conversation was a chance to dive into many aspects of Jack's career, so if you're yet to become acquainted with his playing, this chat is a great place to start.
